What if I told you that you could reduce your chances of malware infections on Microsoft Windows by nearly 60%? "Research shows that there were 60% fewer active malware reports from machines reporting detections to Microsoft 365 Defender with HVCI enabled compared to systems without HVCI."

Chances are, you want to take advantage of this new Windows feature since it does not come enabled by default.

To get started enabling these features follow the steps below:

- Search "features" in the Windows 11 Search field on the Taskbar

- Select "Turn Windows features on or off"


- Scroll down until you see "Virtual Machine Platform" and "Windows Hypervisor Platform" and enable both

- This may take some time, once complete precede to reboot the machine


- Once logged back in to your machine, search for "core" in the search field on the Taskbar

- Select "Core isolation"

- Next, toggle on the "Memory integrity" option

- Reboot the machine

- Once logged back in, you can goto "Settings" -> "Privacy & security" -> "Windows Security" -> "Device security"

- At the Device security screen you can now verify that "Memory integrity" is enabled and review any other new options that are available based on your version of Windows 11.


You may see rumors that by enabling this feature that you may have a massive reduction in FPS but this is not true. You can simply run your games, check your FPS, then disable the feature, reboot and test your games again to compare your FPS.

There is a lot of misinformed information on the internet concerning these features but you can simply verify this for yourself and see that these concerns are not valid.

If you aren't gaming and you are enabling these features on a work machine, then these rumors will be no concern to begin with.
